Tiny Arcade Machines!

So I was hanging out with one of my young nephews and he showed me this small arcade machine keychain he won in skee-ball or something. I was impressed that it had the correct proportions and artwork of a Space Invaders cabinet.

Then I looked closer and realized this was not just a decorative piece of plastic - it was a WORKING ARCADE GAME. Turn it on and there's a pretty faithful version of Space Invaders that appears, and the little joystick and buttons work remarkably well! I had to use my reading glasses to play it, but I was definitely impressed. On top of it all, it retains the high score displayed on the top of the display. It even had the "attract mode" screen.

As an owner of the old Coleco portable games, this new set really appeals to me. I might just have to collect the whole set!

Cute. Makes me want to mod it by attaching a proper size arcade controller.
