I like theme & amusement parks, so here's a thread about them, for information, videos, memories, plans, etc. If you like them too please post here!
Info on Walt Disney's plan to build an indoor theme park in St. Louis, back in the 60's. Fell through when Walt & the city of St. Louis couldn't decide how to split ownership. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walt_Di ... ont_Square

Re: Theme Parks!
Throughout my life, I've lived about 10 miles from one famous theme park in upstate NY, The Great Escape. This was my own Disneyland, though recently having been bought up by SixFlags, it's been going down the tubes. There were once some great rides and attractions such as the Tornado (a Dark ride, you can read about it here: https://laffinthedark.com/articles/tornado/tornado.htm), the Trabant, and Jungle Land (similar to the Jungle Cruise but with more cutrate animatronics https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zWY1pg7cIo). Thankfully they still have their best wooden Coaster the Comet.
I have gone to Disneyland about 14 years ago, had a blast! Recently I heard some plans for a Super Nintendo Park coming next year! So far there's been hinted a Mario Kart Attraction and a Donkey Kong Country area as well! Here's the link: https://www.nintendoenthusiast.com/2019 ... ly-leaked/

It's too bad the Tornado was taken out; it sounds like a cool ride.

Unfortunately, the one roller coaster I would have wanted to ride again is no more... The Georgia Cyclone at Six Flags over Georgia was my favorite of all time, always reminding you as you rode that it was made of pure wood...

Lately we had been in Parque Warner in Madrid. It was such a big park however there was not enough games for the children. Anyway kids had a great time in the park. It's a great place to visit if you like to spend fun time with Warner Bros characters. I'd love to stay more but I had to check a hotel for sale in Madrid for one of my clients so I had to leave early. But when I returned back to hotel I saw the kids were dead tired and sleeping like babies. So that means they had a very good time

Looks like it wound up here, in Mexico: https://rcdb.com/4778.htm and is still operating. It's a Schwarzkopf model.
BONUS: Here's a POV of the ride in Mexico.

A tour of Boblo Island, in 1991. The park would close in 1993. Some nice coasters; that Vekoma Corkscrew has a more interesting layout than the Arrow models you usually see. The second coaster, the Sky Screamer, was made by a Japanese company which now owns both Vekoma & Arrow, if I understand things correctly.
