No offense, but that was perhaps the very first video game that
pissed me off. It took me forever to track down one of the
first items you needed to collect, and when I finally did and managed to beat the game (which really isn't anything to write home about to begin with), the ending was just a huge slap in the face. Quite frankly, it might just be one of the worst games I've ever played.
For what I consider better examples, I recommend the Spyro the Dragon trilogy. I'm still waiting for the Critic to review 2 & 3, largely because it's one of my favorite franchises of all time. Another game that comes to mind is "Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Recue". It's one of the better movie tie-in games out there, and a must if you're a Pixar fan.
I was also gonna suggest Glover based on nostalgia alone (
which I recently played through on Twitch), but looking back it feels
very inferior to the original Nintendo 64 version, which IMO is a hidden gem and I'll even admit to being one of my favorite games of all time. If you also happen to own an N64, stick with that one (and I would
really like to see VGC review that one as well).
