I like the sound of that. I think enough gamers have been burned by the digital charade that they are willing to pony up a little extra for something they will actually own.

Will be interesting to see if Limited Run Games gets in in this.

Any online components? Like leaderboards for high scores?

I'm not an online guy, but if games could record local scores (with initials) that would be fantastic. I like to have my friends over.

from the FAQ
"Will there be online leaderboards and reward/trophy/achievements?

"Absolutely! Our online leaderboard system is very unique and actually ties into our reward system. Leaderboards are not only determined globally, but also by countries and regions. It is also further broken down by time/date, such as weekly, monthly, yearly, and “all-time”.

I agree, the more support for offline (single and multiplayer), the more I am interested. There's not many ways a game can loose my interest than having too heavy a focus on online-only support, which doesn't last long for most games past the release window.

Plus, I shouldn't have to go online just to record a high score. I really hope they consider this.

But wouldn’t it be cool if you could make a custom leaderboard, to just include your personal friends? Imagine going online each day to see which friend bopped your recent high score from the day before. Or even a leaderboard consisting just of forum members? That would be fun.

This auto racing game looks like fun! I just hope the playability is there.
