Hello critic, its been a while I have alot of finals and college work but anyway like u care.  Wow I have guitar hero 2 and mostly agree but one thing i didnt like was the difference between normal and hard it was way to drastic and so i hit a wall much faster than with the first one.

Also a C+ for Okami is pretty low but I havent played it just heard about it.  If I were you I'd have a scale under the (a b c d f) grades so people like me can understand axactly what brings down scores.  like grafics, control, originality ect. got their own grade then the overall grade.  Just think about it at least.  Im sure u dont want to be like everyone else so u can come up with cool names for the catagories.  grafics= eyecandy or sexyness or aww factor. 

If your gonna grade like a school teacher might as well be detailed.

I actually Agree with the Okami review, it is a very overrated game.   While it had a nice premise, it was way to long.  It took me 35 hours to beat, and I was ready for it to end at about hour 12.  This game could have been much better if they cut its length by two thirds.  This has to be one of the most repetitive games ever.  Also, the balance of the game was completely ruined by the ability to buy as many healthpacks as you want.  This is a "feature" that has ruined the balance of many games including Castlevania SOTN, the Second castlevania for GBA, Resident Evil 4, and some other games.

I haven't played either game, but I had to say OKAMI sounds like it should have been a DS game. The stylus was tailor made for games like this, and it can handle the weird graphics. ( i'm an artist to me "weird=good!" )... let's hope they release a shorter DS version sometime.

I fixed the questions marks - thanks for the heads up.

Ben: If you're wondering where the grade came from, I can tell you that it's almost totally based on how much fun I had with the game (ie, gameplay).  When the rubber meets the road, graphics and sound don't really mean much.

Alienblue: You are dead-on about how Okami would have made a better DS game.

How far did you make it through GH2 on hard mode?  I won't even ask about expert mode.  I only managed to get past one or two songs before deciding to call it quits and focus on other games instead.

I must be unnaturally skilled at Guitar Hero.  I started on the "expert" level on the first game, and didn't fail a single song until I got to the final five.

I am still working my way through "hard".  After I considered the "wall" that I hit after medium, I changed the grade to an A-.  I think that's about right.

Wow. Wow. I cannot believe you think Okami is only worth a C+.  I personally think it's the best game of the year, and it's so innovative and enjoyable.  Also, in an industry where we get (and people buy) almost nothing but sequels and licensed games (I'm looking at you, Madden and Lego Star Wars), Okami is truly a breath of fresh air.  Also, unlike every other game I've played this year, this is the only title that truly moves the industry forward by showing the potential ability for game makers to make their games for the purposes of both entertainment and artistic expression.
