Tricky Kick makes me wonder if you should have a "violence against innocent animals" icon. A bizarrely common theme in old games.
"Sporatic" in the Battle Royale review should be "sporadic".
"Thinking mans' game" in the Tricky Kick review should be "thinking man's game". "One (1) letter" is very strange if it isn't meant to be a joke.

You're a little hard on Battle Royale. It's certainly not perfect but it does have some novel ideas. The manager scramble on the character select screen is unique. The premise of the game is to throw your opponents out of the ring over the top rope (because it's a Battle Royale - hence the name). For the time it wasn't bad and it does stand up favorably to some of the lackluster NES wrestling games.
For a much better wrestling game experience on the TG16, you'll need to get one of the FirePro Wrestling games (PC Engine) but they are pretty indepth and have a learning curve to them.
Also another subtle hint for Street Fighter II CE on the TG16. A remarkable version that puts the Genesis version to shame.

New Turbografx-16 reviews? Niiiiiice. I haven't played either of them but Tricky Kick sounds intriguing!
Speaking of the TG-16, I just found out that Shape Shifter, which I'd always assumed was a puzzle game, is actually an intriguing-looking side-scrolling action platformer/adventure. The programmer is a member at AtariAge and had some interesting things to say about it recently.

Battle Royale was shallow, but it was kinda stupid fun for its time.

Battle Royale has exactly one good idea in the manager scramble. The rest was acceptable in the 80's (if it was your only option), but it was always just a boy among men.
Even the Intellivision wrestling game would squash it.
The grade seems more than fair.

I was really disappointed with Battle Royale. After playing Pro Wrestling NES I couldn’t find a wrestling game near as good for years. Battle Royale had sharp colors and when the wrestlers stood still they looked great. Unfortunately the animation sucked and the move set was limited and lame. I think each wrestler only had one unique move. I played the quite a bit and got pretty good with it even though I was more disappointed by it then anything.
