2020/6/29: Xbox 360: Far Cry Instincts Predator, Catherine

Here are two new Xbox 360 reviews for your reading pleasure.

Catherine is new. Far Cry Instincts Predator is an update. Apparently I must not have had my new HDTV set up right in 2007, because I complained about lag in the original review. Not really an issue now.

I remeber playing "FAR CRY" on the original X- Box. My excitement was quickly destroyed as I played it after Halo1 & 2. The frame rate didn't help matters either.

I have Far Cry 3 on the 360 and that ran badly. I imagine the game you're reviewing runs at a smooth 30 or 60fps. I wonder what it's like to play...?

Thanks for the Catherine review - been looking forward to it. I'm surprised by the low score, but I haven't played it enough to have an opinion on the game. I've been meaning to play it for years because the story sounded interesting. I finally started it a few months ago, only for my Xbox 360 to crap out about 30 minutes into the game. By the time my new 360 had arrived from ebay, I had moved on to other games. Still hoping to get back to it sometime soon.

I've never played any Far Cry games. To me, they've always looked too much like other FPS games. The reviews are always pretty solid - but their screenshots and descriptions seem too generic for me to invest time in. Maybe I'm missing out though.

Catherine was rereleased as Catherine: Fuller Body last year as a remaster with several updates.
