New Icon Suggestion
I have a recommendation for a new icon. It just hit me. Obviously this will apply to older games. Maybe an icon like an arcade machine, to signal what games are based off of hit arcade games. It could cover the 2600 through I guess the Genesis. That would be a fun icon in my opinion.

Re: New Icon Suggestion
It would be even cooler to link it back to a review of the original arcade game.
Hmm, maybe the critic should review arcade games?
It would be fun to read how the console versions compared with the actual arcade machine. You could have a dedicated page for each game with the arcade up at the top and then each of the console versions below.

Re: New Icon Suggestion
A lot of arcade versions are significantly better then console. Arch Rivals is one of the best basketball games ever in the arcade. It’s probably my favorite basketball game ever. It’s amazing especially when it’s crunch time. It’s easily A material. I think it might be the best basketball game ever.
The Model 2 has done A+ games in my opinion. The backgrounds are so much better than the console ports. The backgrounds in VIrtua Fighter 2 are incredible. There’s a skiing game Super Ski G that it amazing too. All of these games are amazing. I’m not sure there were good ports of these Model 2 games that may have came out years later.
I think Mortal Kombat 2 was one of the best fighters ever in the arcade. I think Mortal Kombat 3 would have had much better reviews going off the arcade version.

Re: New Icon Suggestion
So it would look like a little arcade machine, and go on games that actually appeared in the arcade? Interesting...

It would take quite a while to tag every game with an arcade icon...a large chunk of the early 2600 games were based on the arcade versions.

I'm actually kinda shocked that of all the icons that the critic has, he doesn't have an arcade icon.....

It looks a little like a bishop praying! Maybe something angled a bit.

Huh... Now I can't unsee that when I look at it.
I'll work on version 2.0...

Re: New Icon Suggestion
ROFL.
If we do come up with a good icon for this, I think we should try to use it sparingly instead of just plastering the site with them.
I'd like to hear any suggestions...
