Re: Atari Hotels
So Atari's doing the MGM thing...except MGM was still kinda relevant when they went down this path. Oh well.
It is a cool-looking mock up, at the least.

Re: Atari Hotels
I suspect this is about as close as we'll ever get to a real Atari Hotel. I mean, what is the point?!?
I can play all the video games I want there! Oh wait I can do that at home.

Re: Atari Hotels
I wonder how large their target demographic is?
I mean, it's clearly us...but I don't think I have any interest in this...
And not to offend anyone here but I don't think we're all that large of a target demographic compared to, well, anything else.
I'd love to be wrong and this thing to do gangbuster business...but I've got zero interest staying at a hotel that has a giant Atari logo.
What do you guys think?

Re: Atari Hotels
Maybe, maybe if the hotel was Nintendo-themed it would do a business.
Otherwise... uh... NO.

Re: Atari Hotels
I’m interested in the architecture, but Atari’s not been a major company since The Federated Group failed, & their heyday as a nostalgic force ended 10-20 years ago.
Alright, I suppose Atari Corp technically shut down in 1996, so this is really Infogrames, which was a major company in the early 2000’s, but the effect is the same: too few people care anymore.
If they had access to Atari Games’ software, this might be more interesting, but even then I’m not sure they’d have the sort of franchises needed to garner public interest.
