These 'mini' replicas seem to be popping up everywhere. That said, I think they are pretty cool and great for display / nostalgia purposes. Here is one of the latest I have seen : the Dragon's Lair mini arcade machine. This thing is fully operational and is a mere 12" tall. The unit even has the mini Laser Disc player (and DL disc) that would reside in the housing that powered the game experience. Check it out:

This is made by a company called New Wave Toys (https://newwavetoys.com/. They also have a few other items like this (Asteroids cab, Tempest cab, etc.). Not sure if I want to go down this road from a collectors perspective, but they are really cool IMHO. Anyone else getting the itch to start collecting these mini / replica type devices?

Re: Dragon's Lair Mini Arcade
Funny! I watched a youtube review of this yesterday. It even hooks up to a TV with HDMI out. I've got no interest in actually buying it but it is still awesome. I love that there's an actual mini Laser Disk player and disk for you to insert into it. And it even has a tiny plastic pretend remote control for the disk player. That's crazy cool. And the LCDs up top for score work as well.
Their website has something that I thought was pretty neat.

It's a book about arcade artwork. It's sold out but looks like a real high quality coffee table book. I signed up to be alerted when it comes back in stock.

If they REALLY wanted to be cool and arcade accurate, it should come with an additional monitor to place on top of the cabinet!
