3rd NES Tetris?

Apparently, there was 3rd version of NES Tetris, only released in Japan. Anyone heard of this?

Unfortunately, it's the least of the three. And it's aged badly. But it was also the first of the three.

It's to be expected.

I wonder how many games that makes that were ported twice or more to the NES?

I know that Maniac Mansion is another. And Fantasy Zone.

The only one I can think of is Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, which was released by both Taito and Ubisoft. But I'm not sure if that counts, since they're both completely different games...

Yeah, that doesn't count, though Ghostbusters II and Star Wars could be added to the list of movies sharing that honor.

And Journey to Silius was a reskinned Terminator game.

A surprising number of games have been ported twice to the same system, typically in different regions. Two examples are Klax and Marble Madness on the Genesis/Mega Drive -- the Japanese versions are totally different (and superior) ports of the same game.

I didn't know about Maniac Mansion -- what's the word on that?
