One reader recently mentioned how my Nintendo 64 section needed work, and he was right.  This is the first of many new reviews/updates I'm working on for that section.  You'll also see I'm continuing my re-evaluation of Star Fox, with Gamecube and DS reviews forthcoming.  Please feel free to comment.

Good job re-reviewing the Star Fox games. I think most people here would agree you hit them dead on this time.

Wow, you went from a C+ to A on Star Fox 64??? Did you just get tired of the b*tching or did you have a change of heart?

I honestly think Star Fox 64 is one of the best games for the system, if not the best. (Ogre Battle 64, Goldeneye, No Mercy, VPW2, and Zelda OoT being its toughest competition)

You're getting your Star Fox games confused.  Star Fox for the SNES got a C+.  Star Fox 64 for the N64 got an A.

Isn't your Starfox 64 a re-review as well? I believe he's right that strafox 64 initially received a C+ from you.

Yeah, unless I'm completely mistaken, Star Fox 64 got an average grade of a C or so.

At any rate, it's a good game - but the fact that you can't save your game and the difficulty of later stages brought it down for me.

It's sad what happened to the Road Rash series.  I remember when it started with them and the Need for Speed series.  The Moto GP series is ok, but I miss the outlaw element from RR.

As with the SNES Star Fox, I think the 64 Star Fox is way overrated.  The camera angles are frustrating, the game can be completed in about 4 hours, and the other 3 pilots are there for semi-comic relief, because they don't help you in the fight at all.  I was extremely disappointed when I first bought Star Fox, and after playing it again, my feelings haven't changed.  A cute game, yes, but a good game, no.

There are 3 different paths to take which extends the replay value a whole lot. The game can be completed in 4 hours on easy, but I'd like to see you go through medium, hard and easy in 4 hours.
