Anybody have any experience with the Wii U gamepad losing connectivity when only a few feet from the console?
My trusty Wii U has become extremely unreliable the last few months. After doing some research it looks like the WIFI chip may have failed. The part is going for over 100 bucks on ebay if I want to attempt a home repair. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and attempted to fix it.

I had this exact issue a couple of years ago. I bought the part on ebay for around 20 bucks and replaced it myself. Works like new. I dont think I bought an OEM part though....

By the way, very easy to replace it yourself. No soldering or anything like that
