Batting .433 with 27 HR and 73 RBI.

Wow he's a one-man wrecking crew. The homeruns and RBIs look about right, but that batting average is crazy.

Do they have steroids in this game? Is that something you can adjust?

It's somewhat easy to get high averages in this game. A few other of my players are hitting over .400 or .300. And then there's one of my outfielders who is barely hovering over .200.

The playoffs are here. Going a combined 23-8 in September and the last few games of October, the O's finish the season at 115-47. Now they face the Oakland A's (81-81), who managed to slip by the Mariners. Chicago (89-73) plays the wild card winning Blue Jays (90-72).

The National League field is made up of the top seeded Cubs (97-65), Giants (96-66), Expos (90-72), and the Pirates (88-74).

The Divisional round has come and gone. Oakland had upset on the brain, but ultimately fell short losing 10-0 in the deciding Game 5 against the Orioles.

The Blue Jays took down the White Sox in 5. San Francisco came back from a 2-0 series deficit against the Pirates, taking their series 3-2. The only series not to go extra games was between the Cubs and Expos, as Chicago swept Montreal 3-0.

The stage is set for the World Series. In the National League, the Cubs take down the Giants in a 4 game sweep.

Over in the American League, Baltimore finished the Blue Jays off in 5 games. Games 1 was close, as the Orioles came from behind and won on a walk off homer in the bottom of the 9th. Game 2 was just as close, but a rally by the O's fell a bit short. The series shifted to Toronto for Games 3-5. In the 3rd game, it was a close 1-1 tie until the Orioles took a 5-1 lead late in the game. Games 4 and 5 got out of hand early, as the O's scored early to take a commanding lead, holding off a rally in both games to take the series.

I love reading these updates. Good luck in the series - the Cubs seem to have waltzed through the postseason this far!

Defense, pitching, and timely hitting was the name of the game, as the Orioles defeat the Cubs in the World Series 4-2.

Games 1 and 2 were split in Baltimore with a pair of 2-1 victories by both teams. The Cubs hoped to gain momentum as the series shifted to Chicago, but were shut out 6-0 and 2-0 in Games 3 and 4. Just when things looked bleak, Chicago won Game 5 3-1 and had their mind set on comeback. However, that was not to be, as the Orioles finished them off at home, winning 6-2 behind Brady Anderson's solo HR in the top of the 1st, and Chris Hoiles' 2 out Grand Slam in the bottom of the 3rd.

Much appreciated. I'm sure somebody else will add their stories to this.

I'm playing an ESPN NFL 2K5 franchise as the New York Giants. Dallas comes to East Rutherford for the final game of the season, and if I win, I sneak into the last wild card spot at 9-7. The thing of it is, I was smoked in Dallas earlier in the season.

If I lose, then I also need the Eagles and Vikings to either lose or tie. So it's basically an early playoff game.

How exciting!

Sometime soon, I might start up an old hockey game and play as the Capitals in the mid-90's. Deciding whether to play FOX Sports NHL 2000 (PC), Wayne Gretzky & The NHLPA All-Stars, NHL '95 (PC), or one of the other NHL 90's series.
