Hollow Knight: Silksong

Postby DaHeckIzDat » September 2nd, 2025, 5:40 pm

I'm surprised nobody's talking about this, considering the critic gave the first Hollow Knight an A+. After an absolute development rollercoaster, the sequel to Hollow Knight is finally releasing on September 4th. Silksong will only cost $20, and will be available for all major consoles. And before you ask, yes, it's digital only. Team Cherry has hinted that a physical release might happen early next year, but for the foreseeable future it will be a download only title.

My friend Brent turned me on to Hollow Knight, so I'm sure he's all over this one. He's been waiting FOREVER for this! Actually, I think the long wait has contributed to the build-up.

No doubt it would be released in physical in the near future, hopefully with bug fixes and DLC built in! I can wait for that.

One of my most anticipated games of all time. Ironic in a sense now I somewhat had my bellyful of Metroidvanias after playing 20+ games in this sub genre in the past two years. Hope I can stomach one more "where the heck do I go next" sidescroller, although Hollow Knight has more going for it given it is one of those addictive git gud sort of games.
