Luke, if you look at the top of each review page on this site, you'll see that the screenshots are credited.  For example, the Genesis A-B page says "...screen shots coutesy of Video Game Museum, Shinforce, and Rotten Tomatoes."

On the other gut's site, Video Game Critic is not cited.

By the way, in my original e-mail, which VGC posted at the top of the thread, I accuse the guy of making money, but I can't really assume that.  I just saw some Google ads off to the side, but that may just reduce the price of the hosting itself.

Still, it's pretty rotten to pretend to be a reviewer.

Images fall into a slightly different category, but for your information I DID get permission from the sites I use (including IGN), in addition to giving them credit.

Luke, you might not think it's a big deal, but we you see someone trying to profit from your 10 years of hard work, it's upsetting.

I want to encourage readers to continue forwarding me links to plagiarized reviews.  I have already submitted the initial DMCA form to the host, but can tack on new reviews/links as I discover them.

To find many of the reviews in question, you need to perform a search.  If you get a hit on a classic game, and it was posted by Sean R, chances are it's be plagiarized.  Here is a running list of what I've found so far.

I'm going to enjoy dogging this guy's site wherever I go online so he feels a lingering sting from something as underhanded as this...
Is it really that big of a deal?

Critic, you've posted an awful lot of pictures of games from other websites and used them to correspond with your reviews.

Have you received permission to use all those pictures??
Yes it is. Theft of intellectual property is still theft.
Would it bother you if when in school you wrote a 20 page paper and then had another kid steal it, copy it, and turn it in and get an A on it? -DJ
Sure, I would be angry if someone used something that was mine without asking and pawned it off as their own receiving full credit. Yes, I get that. I'm totally with the Critic on that one

BUT if the paper were graded as an A, I would also still be kinda proud. Know what I'm sayin?

I'm not amused at all.  Those sites have paid advertisements, indicating money is being made from the content.  From my hard work.  These pages are also probably cutting into my search results on Google.  Last but not least, my readers aren't going to see any new reviews for a while because I'm too busy dealing with this matter.  This is not a joke.  For me it's a nightmare.

Dave, I just clicked on all those links that you listed, and all of the links state that the sites are in "maintenance mode". Maybe the sites have been yanked over this?

And Luke, sorry, but I don't agree with your comment:

Sure, I would be angry if someone used something that was mine without asking and pawned it off as their own receiving full credit. Yes, I get that. I'm totally with the Critic on that one. BUT if the paper were graded as an A, I would also still be kinda proud. Know what I'm sayin?

It's like a guy stole my car, gets compliments from his friends saying how great his new car is, so I should be proud for my great taste in cars? Nah, this guy stole from the critic, and it's not right. Dave, I hope justice will prevail again, just like it did with that plagiarizer from ebay.

"BUT if the paper were graded as an A, I would also still be kinda proud. Know what I'm sayin? " -- I have no idea what you are saying you might have pride but nothing else to show for your work and don't forget since they got the grade NO ONE knows that it's your work but you.
