I played this one on and off for several months, but could really never get into it.  Hope you enjoy the review.

This is one of your best ones. When I laugh out loud - it's good.

I really connected with the reference to the same ol' bone-tossing skeleton. I mean c'mon, integrating a little creativity into an old genre goes a long way.

Good job! very funny

This is probably your funniest review yet! And was that a reference to Antoine Dodson at the end? haha

Wow I like this game
But I'm a sucker for these 2d Castlevanias which you call "cookie cutters". It's the main reason I own a DS when I'm not much into portable gaming.

Dave you don't have to confess to Konami, they gonna find you, so you can run and tell that, critic boy

I'd kill for "cookie cutter". Instead, we've seen them add a poor anime style that owes  much to Scooby Doo, forced stylus scribbling minigames with hideous collision detection, and in the latest, beautiful artwork is destroyed by a difficulty level best described as "giving a stupid crab enough hit points to count as an optional Final Fantasy boss." Nobody asked for these changes. I just want one hero, one mysterious world to explore, and enemies that escaped all my favorite darkest dreams.

You know it's funny, I only ever hear people compliment this game due to the fact that there's a chick as the protagonist.

I'm a huge CastleVania fan, but I would have to agree with you. It was alright, but definitely a bit disappointing.

Of the six Castlevania games on the DS and GBA, this one is my favorite.  I must have missed something.

By the way, the bone-tossing skeleton is tradition.  There are Goombas in Super Mario Galaxy, but it's not because Miyamoto is out of ideas.

Isnt this the Castlevania that goes back to more platforming action versus the Metroid-vania style?
