Intellivision Flashback Review
Here's a place to talk about my Intellivision Flashback review.
Thanks for the review.
Any thoughts on how this compares to the Intellivision compilations over the years? Seems like using the original controllers is a huge boon.
Since Activision/Imagic titles are not appearing on any of the flashbacks, I am not sure what a Mark 2 intellivision flashback could offer. There must have been a reason for burger time not being there. Homebrews and skiing? Seems like cartridge pins are infeasible, so what else could you offer...an SD card port.
So far, the only flashback you have not liked is the Atari 1....and it is a hard one to love. Since they have no grades, would you want a thumbs up or down?
I hope these are profitable, because they are fun, and cheap enough where even buying the next model does not make me regret buying an earlier one.
Thanks for the review.

Intellivision Flashback Review
I agree the Intellivision Flashback is pretty excellent except for one thing: Tower Of Doom is unplayable and that's my favorite game! huge quality control issue right there! other than that, I think it's great and all the games play pretty much just like the originals, with the usual minor sound issues and such.

Intellivision Flashback Review
I have both the Intellivision and the Colecovision Flashbacks. I am happy with both, but if I had to choose one over the other, I'd lean to the Intellivision version. Since they had access to the Mattel library, the majority of the better first-party Intellivision games are included.
Unfortunately, so many of the Coleco games have trademark or copyright issues, there aren't nearly the same number of good games included. Sure, there are some of my favorites such as Pepper II, Zaxxon, Space Fury, Frenzy, etc. but the missing games (Donkey Kong, Mousetrap, Ladybug, Mr. Do, Popeye, Looping, Turbo, etc.) are really obvious - especially when they included some homebrews and third-party games that are just downright embarrassingly bad.

Are you going to review the Atari Flashback 5? The only real difference it has from the Flashback 4 is that they added a lot of M-network games to it, bringing the total to 92 games.

Sheesh I didn't even realize there was a Flashback 5!
Does anyone have a list of the new games?

The new games consist of about 12 M-Network games and a few homebrews that have clear trademarks, so games like Astroblast or Sea Battle, but not games such as Burgertime.
You can find a complete list of the included games here: http://www.armchairarcade.com/neo/node/5718
The new additions are: M Network: Air Raiders, Armor Ambush, Astroblast, Dark Cavern, International Soccer, Super Challenge Baseball, Super Challenge Football, Space Attack, Star Strike, Sea Battle, Frogs and Flies, Sword Fight

Thanks LS650. Has anyone tried the home brews? Are they any good?

The homebrews on the Atari FB5 are from Good Deal Games and AtariAge. They're written in Batari Basic. Although not bad games, I can't say any is a standout.
