The Joys of 4K

Postby Herschie » November 25th, 2016, 1:24 pm

Where has this been all my life? I bought a Samsung 50-incher last night at Best Buy. Now this is what I'm talking about! Even though none of my systems put out a 4K signal, it seems to do something to them that brings out more detail and makes them look crisper and sharper. I also grabbed NBA 2K17, which was 30 bucks last night, and Madison Square Garden looked fantastic in it. Such detail Derrick Rose, Carmelo Anthony, and Kristaps Porziņģis. Even the Wii U is improved, as I've never seen a sharper Hyrule in Twilight Princess HD.

I remember awhile ago on Operation Sports, someone said how much better "MLB: The Show" looked in 4K. I didn't really believe him, using the logic that since the output wasn't 4K, it wouldn't look any better. Wrong I was!

Murphy's Law did strike, as my wife had the urge to go see "Edge of 17" last night. After two hours of teen drama made less bearable by my desire to get home to my new TV, I finally got to enjoy my new toy.
