Best Pack-in Game?
I also like Colecovision Donkey Kong; it has it's faults but again, really sold the system with it's arcade like graphics and convinced many it was time to move up.
Third place, I'm one of the few that loved ALTERED BEAST!
Annd Fourth vote for ORIGINAL pack-in goes here as well to Super Mario World. They could've sold it seperately, no problem! Later bundles, my vote goes to SMB all stars, Street Fighter, and of course the Sonic The hedgehog games.

Best Pack-in Game?
Have you even played it right yet with a second player?
[/QUOTE]What do you mean? Of course I played it two player. We played every tank variation, so I guess we hit whatever one is "right". I find "leading shots" the least fun.

Best Pack-in Game?
It was and I mentioned that, but I voted based on ORIGINAL pack in games only. If we are counting bundles, Super Mario All stars would be number one and Sonic number two, SF2 # 3.
I forgot to mention portables; The gameboy outsold other systems by such a large margin for no other reason than it included TETRIS, by far THE best version of that game, and at $89.99 only a little more than the software version alone on computers! Game Gear with COLUMNS and Lynx / CALAFORNIA GAMES looked very weak next to GB TETRIS!!!!

I believe there are 3 of us who fit that description, or at least me and Alienblue do. I simply argue it is far from a D-; I don't think it's an A+.

I just thought it would be mentioned as a joke, that's all.

Best Pack-in Game?
I'd say it goes SMB/Duck Hunt, then Sonic, then Super Mario World. Wii Sports is fun, but it is mainly a good game for introducing people to a system, or games in general. It isn't as addictive as those pack-ins.

I totally disagree
I think Wii Sports is very addictive. I don't think it's the best pack-in ever though.
Pack-ins are always best when they really demonstrate what the system is capable of. You can call them "tech demos" if you want, but I think that's what makes the games fitting. SMB/Duck Hunt were fantastic in demonsrating what an improvement the NES was over the past. Sonic and before that, Altered Beast, were good games for demonsrating the power of the Genesis vs. the NES. And yes, Super Mario World (and Super Mario All-Stars) were great for the SNES.
When the DS was first released, I couldn't figure out why Nintendo didn't just forget that Metroid Prime Hunters demo and just go with Yoshi's Touch N' Go. The latter was a much better game at demonstrating what kind of system the DS is. I tend to think of Wii Sports in the same light as Yoshi's Touch N' Go.
