Freedom Fighters....actually, there's a glitch--the effect of the player's feet walking in snow continues when you go indoors. Oh well, that's what you get for a game that cost $20 new.

The game itself is the first stage of Nights, except decked out in a very festive Christmas theme. There's falling snow, decorated trees, elves, wreaths to fly through, and Christmas songs like Joy to the World and Jingle Bells. When you finish the stages (2 including the boss) you get a chance to win "presents" like hidden modes and characters. I've never seen a game with so much Christmas cheer. This must have freaked out gamers in 1996 when it first came out. It's a nice edition to any Saturn collection.
I'm surprised no one has brought up SKIING or SNOWBOARDING games! My favorite Skiing game was probably INTV Skiing on the older consoles and SLALOM on NES. SLALOM was a really funny and quite well done Skiing game-to Skiing what PUNCH-OUT was to boxing!
Snowboard Kids on the 64 is a good Snowboard game. SSX Tricky is also pretty good, but I never cared for Cool Boarders. I'll have to try out SLALOM.

I really like the first snow level in Goldeneye outside the Russian base. It's a nice big open ended level with tons of opportunities for snipers.
I have to give my vote to the snow level in Metroid Prime (Phendrana Drifts?). That one really evoked a dreamy, Wintery feeling for me.
I haven't played Metroid Prime, but I think that's a boss level in Metroid Prime Pinball. It was pretty fun.
