Handheld "stains"
I am pretty anal about making sure my videogame systems are as clean and shiny as possible. I have always had a problem with portables, though, and it is especially apparant on the WHITE DSlite...finger grease smudges around the control pad! I clean the system regularly but the "+" pad area always gets dark over time, and as I said, it is especially noticeable on a WHITE system. Any others have this problem and know what will clean it off safely?
Actually I don't have the problem with the white DS Lite, but I do with my imported Navy Blue DS Lite. It really attracts the fingerprints. So much so that I ended up buying another white one just because it looks cleaner most of the time.
Just out of curiosity, for those of you who own a black DS Lite, does the black one attract fingerprints really heavily? I assume it does given it's a similar shade to the navy blue DS Lite?
Perhaps you should wash your hands before handling your DS.

You're not going to prevent fingerprints by washing your hands.

Yep, the black does too, but don't sweat it man...just enjoy it.
Speaking of....are ya'll pretty organized when it comes to organizing systems games, etc.? I usually am (but not in a OCD way), but I've had friends with wires, controllers, cases, games, and everything just strung all over their room.

My 19 month old daughter picked our DSLite off the floor the other day and started writing on the touchscreen with a yellow crayon. No harm done, it came right off. I guess that touch screen really is intuitive. She can also say, "Mario". Not sure if thats good or bad.

Don't use your DS Lite on the crapper.

Hey, I'm not looking for a solution (especially not one from the Auschwitz school). The issue is what it is, and I've grown used to it. I was just curious if it was just the darker colored DS Lites. I can't even see fingerprints on the white DS Lite, which is why I bought a second one.

Heh, a place where many of us have logged a ton of hours on the system, no doubt.

I actually AM kinda OCD-ish and wash my hands over a dozen times a day (but I have health issues as many of you know), HOWEVER that did get me to thinking; AFTER I wash my hands, I live were it is dry in the winter so I use hand lotion! THAT could indeed be rubbing off on the system. (But if I don't use lotion my fingers will dry, crack and bleed, even worse!)
I have never, ever,EVER played games on the crapper. I have a crappy condition called IBS which means I go a LOT, but I'm in and out in like 90 seconds, tops. Not enough time to read the paper, let alone play a handheld!
