Is this game worth getting? It's expensive and the Mario Tennis 64 was one of the best games on the system- I cant imagine it being much different. Mario Golf was actually less addictive than the 64 version. Does the same hold true for the Tennis games?

It's not less fun in any way - while they did indeed add a lot of crappy stuff, it can all be turned off if you don't like it, and the core gameplay is as addictive as ever. It IS pretty much purely a multiplayer game, though - the single player tournament is piss easy, and even the exibition matches don't offer much challenge. There are some minigames to play around with, but they're not very fun, and you don't get anything for beating them anyway.
