Now here's another irony, the portable version is actually more fun than the console version! That's right the gameplay is actually better, and though the graphics and sound are a bit of a downgrade, the result is better than you think. Whereas in the first game attacks evolve and the PS1 game only gave you two attacks you get a bunch. Now both as a cub and adult you can do a claw attack instead of just pounce like you could in the PS1 game, though the rolling move is gone, but I doubt players will miss it. There are some fun overhead chase stages as you dodge wildebeasts or crocs to save Kiara. The cutscenes have been reduced to only still shots but they do the job. You now have three bosses instead of 2 unlike the PS1 game one of them is unfortunatley Simba's girlfriend later wife Nala, but thankfully the still shot is a good one. Like the PS1 game there are minigames and they're just as fun as the PS1 version. There's also some unlockable content as well if you have the time. All in all this is the version to get.
